Housing Innovation Challenge
Charlotte, North Carolina, December 2025 – October 2027
Across the country, families face rising housing costs and growing barriers to homeownership. The Housing Innovation Challenge, led by the Housing Innovation Alliance and in collaboration with industry partners, brings together some of the brightest minds in architecture, engineering, construction, and business to create real, scalable solutions that make housing attainable for all.
The Housing Innovation Alliance is proud to launch this premier national showcase in collaboration with Meritage Homes, Home Technology Ventures, and the City of Charlotte to advance forward-thinking housing solutions. This inaugural event will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, bringing together leaders and innovators committed to shaping the future of housing.
Guided by the H.O.M.E. framework, the design-build showcase examines the full cost of housing—moving past construction expenses to focus on design, innovation, services and long-term value that make homes truly affordable.
