Off-site Construction & Technology Adoption (IBS)

When: Feb 17th 12:00am
Where: IBS in Orlando, FL

Research project on off-site construction methodologies being led by the Housing Innovation Alliance on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

The Alliance is convening a select group of housing sector leaders for a small group-facilitated discussion intended to capture valuable insights for addressing industry challenges and exploring new opportunities related to the use (and non-use) of off-site construction to produce housing.

This 90-minute session forms part of a larger, year-long research project with HUD’s Policy Development and Research team aimed at addressing systemic barriers in housing production, including market-rate and affordable solutions. Our purpose is to provide HUD with insight from industry stakeholders so it can be informed on how best to shape its policies, research agenda, and resource allocation. The room will consist of a range of stakeholders from the housing sector that are engaged in some way in new construction methods and materials.
